Disclaimer: Like the Wraith, this image belongs to Hellgate London and the creators of the game, not me.

"Sir Hellsing, are you certain that we need such firepower? I mean, considering what its designed for..."

"Exactly. Considering what the suit is designed for it would be foolishness not to take delivery of a number of these suits for our duty. And haven't I not requested anything from you for quite some time Sir Penwood?"

"I...uh...very well Sir Hellsing, I shall contact the company and order the suits. Will five be sufficient?"

"Ten."

*sigh* "I understand."

Recorded conversation between Round Table member Sir Penwood, in charge of the British Ministry of Defence, and Sir Hellsing, commander-in-chief of the Protestant Knights agency known as Hellsing concerning the purchase of the Inferno suit from Genom Los Angeles.

Genom Los Angeles 'Inferno' Powersuit

With the Wraith being a continuing work in progress despite the input of the Los Angeles Advanced Research Institute to make the Ghost System more cost-effective, CEO Michael Huxely liked the overall design of the Wraith and decided that another suit based on it but replacing the Ghost System with conventional stealth materials, ECS optical-camouflage and more armor would be a better move and to show that Genom Los Angeles wasn't a one-trick pony.

The Inferno came about after the development team stayed up one night and got drunk while brainstorming. After watching episodes of an old animated Batman cartoon and seeing the villain known as Firefly, the lead researcher, Ignatius Howe, got an idea through the haze of alcohol and managed to write it down before falling asleep.

The result was the more cost-effective 'Firefly' Microwave Ignition System, a pair of vambrace-mounted microwave weapons capable of flash-frying a man in seconds and penetrating any sort of armor to damage the target from the inside. Even machines weren't immune as the heat was generated at a molecular level, even turning a sample of adamantium into a soft lump that could be easily shaped and molded.

The Inferno was a success in development and soon became a success amongst professional mercenaries, who enjoyed being able to destroy vital materials without the need to carry dangerous explosives and flammable materials.

Then the Inferno came to the attention of the vampire hunter Sir Hellsing and after seeing what the suit was capable of in a production video, was impressed enough to purchase ten suits for her operations, where the Firefly system has proven an effective vampire cleansing weapon.

Currently the Inferno is the top-selling powersuit from Genom Los Angeles, and rumor has it that an enhanced Inferno-H suit is in the works, equipped with a far more powerful 'Firestorm' Microwave Ignition System capable of damaging SPB opposition.

Armour:
Nano-gel armor with partial reinforced MDC Nano-composite plating over vital areas.

Standard Armaments:
-2x 'Firefly' Microwave Ignition System
-Fully capable of using small-arms and heavy weapons.
-4x Monofilament Knives

Standard Equipment:
-Full Environment Sealing with 600-second internal airsupply
-Artificial Muscle Package capable of lifting 23 metric tonnes.
-Optics package containing thermal imaging, low-light intensification, ultraviolet imaging, acoustic imaging, magnetic anomaly detection and electronic zoom up to 256 times normal size.
-Full ECM and ECCM Suite.
-Electronic Concealment System
-Internal Medical Nanite System
-Nanotech Self-repair System

'Firefly' Microwave Ignition System:
The Firefly system is a pair of vambrace-mounted high-frequency microwave emitters designed as a multi-purpose weapon and tool.

The system consists of the vambraces, which are linked to the back-mounted power supply. When engaged the emitter system slides forward and locks into place, allowing the weapons to be fired without danger to the hands.

The system has five power settings once engaged:
-1: Non-lethal engagement, designed to cause searing pain and minimal burns.
-2: Less-than-lethal engagement, capable of causing serious burns and extreme pain.
-3: Standard setting, capable of melting flesh and melting sensitive components.
-4: Combat setting: Flesh is instantly carbonized, with metal and electronic components melting into slag.
-5: Full power, and metal, flesh and bone are vaporized in what appears to be a flash of light and steam.

The Firefly system is designed to be used against non-standard opposition and has proven itself in this field, with targets ranging from machines to magical girls all falling victim to this deadly, armor-ignoring system.

Price:
Currently the price for an Inferno suit is $986,000 with the price of the hotly anticipated Inferno-H to be 50% more expensive due to the new Firestorm System.

Why do you post these if they aren't yours?

I am but a mere writer, not a sketcher and I often have trouble describing the appearance of objects on occasion, so I look for pictures that help to convey the appearance.

The Man on the picture is packing what looks like an L85A2 with an elongated barrel and underbarrel flamethrower. What do you think of this for a future fic or reference: The L85A2 V-3/LR/F (Variant-3/Long Range/Flamer), A.K.A. the 'Firefly'? First made by some random Hellsing armorer as an anti-vampire weapon and now copycatted in many ways (plasma throwers, souped-up welding torches) by many people (S.I., SalCo, the AoH, etc)?

I'm liking the feel of that idea, should look good to write up for a fic or reference.

Also, sorry to hear about your mother and cousin, shit like that can really make it hard to be creative at times and I hope life improves for you.
