"Ladies and Gentlemen of the board, allow me to introduce you to our newest multi-role aircraft, the Lockheed-Martin M-02 Horizon, which we intend to advertise to the international and local markets as a high-speed, cost effective solution to aging multi-role aircraft currently in development."

*Sounds of paper shuffling and quiet conversation.*

"Not a bad design. But will it sell?"

"I'm quite confident that there will be people interested in a Mach 5 capable multi-role that can carry as much weaponry as an A-10 Warthog. If not here, than overseas."

"All right then, the board approves limited production of the M-02 Horizon. You have a year to get enough buyers to justify full production."

Lockheed-Martin M-02 'Horizon' Multi-role Fighter

Lockheed-Martin's M-02 'Horizon' was created in their Los Angeles facility as part of the competition to create a new multi-role craft for the United States Air Force but was rejected in favor of the McDonnell-Douglas F-58 'Black Eagle'.

The Marine Corp picked it up later and the company began offering the plane to international buyers, attracting orders from the British Air Force to replace the aging Harrier along with the Japanese Air Self-Defence Force.

The Horizon is a very agile and surprisingly sturdy plane, capable of carrying a large payload and still maintain a top-speed of Mach 5, thanks to wings that contract and scissor inwards and a butterfly tail system that flattens at Mach speeds and allow for incredible agility at sub-Mach speeds.

But the M-02 is an expensive aircraft, mainly for its complicated wing and tail systems and its usage of MDC materials and a limited Dimensional Compression System in order to carry its massive internal payload and its agility can make it a dangerous plane to fly in unskilled hands and thus only is purchased and used by experienced pilots.
