First off, don't read this unless you like potential spoilers.

I just saw the new Rebuild Ep on the internet and I must say people, I got pissed off. Now, typically I don't really care about Evangelion beyond the actions scene, and Mari, because Mari is pretty much some kind of expy for every self-insert fic ever written in my opinion and thus is awesome.

But Rebuild 3? That just pissed me off. For multiple reason.

Reason 1: Kaworu got the short stick. Again. Come on, I know there's a meme concerning Kaworu's inability to keep his head, but you'd think they could do something differently here.

Reason 2: Shinji may be the kind of desperate kid who really, really wants to fix his mistakes, but when the guy who is the only one to make an effort to befriend you says with a very distinct amount of certainty tells you not to do something because the situation is changed, even if you're under attack by eyepatch!Asuka in a rebuilt Unit 02 that can do the whole Bionic Commando thing, don't go ignore him!

Reason 3: Anyone could tell that there was no reasonable explanation for the previous, so clearly someone noticed something during development and they slap-dashed something together to make it fit with their plan for the final ep.

That's my opinion anyway. And to think I was only watching that ep for Mari...
